About This Station
The Wildwood weather station consists of a Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station and a Boltek Lightning Detector. The data is collected by Weather Display Software and the website is updated every 5 seconds.
Wildwood weather data has been collected since March 1998.
Current Wildwood weather data is shared with
- Weather Underground (KTXDECAT2)
- Citizen Weather Observer Program (CW0062) and through CWOP/APRSWXNET to:
- Lightning data is shared with StrikeStarUS
- Rain reports are sent to the Dallas/Fort Worth CBS station, KTVT Channel 11
The weather data is quality checked by comparing this data to a predicted value based upon an analysis of the data from other local weather stations submitted via CWOP. I will receive notifications if this data varies too far from the other stations. The current quality status can be viewed at CWOP Quality Information for CW0062.
